1、The simplest square and rectangular shawls are constructed by casting on the desired number of stitches and knitting in one direction.
最简单的方形和长方形披肩结构为按照需要的针数起针，朝1个方向编织即可。

2、For stitch motifs with a particular direction,it is possible to construct the shawl in two parts,either by knitting from the edges to the center or from the center to the edges.
对于针法图案有特定方向的，披肩可能会由两部分构成，从两头向中间，或从中间向两头进行编织。

3、A stitch pattern based on garter stitch work best when designing a square shawl worked diagonally.
设计对角线编织的披肩，使用起伏针最合适。
Casting on 1-5 stitches. Increase 1 stitch at each edge on right-side row. When the dimension of square is the width desired, decrease 1 stitch at each edge on right side row.
起1-5针。在正面行两侧边缘各加1针。当正方形的维度达到想要的宽度，在正面行两侧各减1针。
4、To make a shawl knit from theouter edge to the center,witha circular needle,cast on 4 times the number of stitches needed to create one side of the square.
编织从外边缘向中间的披肩，使用环针，起正方形披肩1个边的4倍针数。
Put 4 marks deviding evenly the total stitches, decreasebefore and after each marker in every other round.
放置4个记号扣均分所有针数，每隔1行在记号扣前后减针。
5、center-outer square shawl
中心向边缘的正方形披肩
With center-out cast on method,increase evenly every other round。
中心起针法，隔行平均加针。
6、center-out rectangular shawl
中心向边缘的长正方形披肩
With a circular needle ,cast on the number of stitches required for the center section of one long side of the rectangle and place a marker,cast 1-3stitches for one short side and place marker,cast on for the other long side,place marker,cast on the the same number of stitches for the other short side.
使用环针，按照长方形中心部分的一条长边起足够针数，放置记号起1-3针作为1个短边，放置记号扣，为另一个长边起针，放置记号扣，再起另外一个短边的针数。
Place a maker and join,knit 1round ,increase 1stitchon each side of each marker in every other round until desired depth.
放置记号扣连接圈织，织1圈，在每个记号扣2侧各加1针，隔行加针至需要的高度。
Sew the center opening closed. A provisional cast on can also be used and grafted to close.
将中间的开口缝合。临时起针也可以，最后缝合。
7、three quarter square shawl
4分之三方披
It is worked from neck down.
从领口开始编织。
The construction is Similar to center-outer squareshawl,but only 3/4 of it.
结构类似中间向边缘的方形披肩，仅为它的3/4。
8、diamond-shaped shawl
菱形披肩
The construction is similar to center-outer squareshawl,but with an opening.
结构类似中间向边缘的方形披肩，但是有个开口。
