剧情简介
彭彩金是一位来自中国南方广东省的女孩，她的励志故事在被改编并搬上大银幕之前，深深打动了全国成千上万读者的心灵。
彩金出生于20世纪90年代，当时这个不到一个月大的女孩被生母抛弃，然后被一对中年农民夫妇收养，这对农民夫妇叫彭孝诚、刘春桃，他们给小孩取名“彭彩金”。面对巨大的困难，他们把她抚养成人，过着贫穷而幸福的生活。
然而，在彩金刚9岁的时候，一件悲惨的事情袭击了这个农村家庭：她的养父从一个湿滑的斜坡上摔下来，损伤了他的脊髓；他几乎瘫痪了。小彩金还是一名小学生，但她在照顾生病的父母的同时承担了所有家务。他们希望她能过上更轻松、稳定的生活，并决定把她送回生母身边。但事与愿违，彩金还是回来了，继续照顾他们，直到他们在几年后相继离世。
人生不可能一帆风顺，总会有许多的不如意，或是不幸。不幸来临，彩金没有选择放弃或是逃避，而是勇敢面对，毅然和命运抗争，自强不息，坚强地活下去。
SYNOPSIS
The life story of Peng Caijin, a girl from southern province of Guangdong, China, had deeply touched the hearts and souls of thousands upon thousands of readers across the country before it was adapted for and put onto the big screen.
Caijin"s story started in the 1990s when the barely one-month old girl was abandoned by her biological mother and then adopted by a middle-aged farming couple. Embracing great difficulties, they brought her up, living a poor yet happy life.
However, something tragic hit the rural family when Caijin was just ten years old: her step-father fell off a slippery slope and damaged his spinal cord; he was virtually paralyzed. Caijin was still a primary school student, but she took over all the household chores while taking care of her ailing parents. They wished she could lead a much easier and stable life, and decided to send her back to her biological mother. But against their will, Caijin came back and continued serving on them until they peacefully passed away one after another years later.
Life can never be a serene and smooth journey all the way. When something unwanted or even disastrous happens, Caijin chooses to stand up to embrace all the hardships on the way, to fight her bitter destiny, alone most of the time.

电影中的原型彭彩金出生于广东梅州的一个偏远山村，自小，她被一对生活条件很差的中年农民夫妇不顾一切地收养了。——她的继母残疾，继父靠种地勉强挣到生活开支。一家三口过着简单而幸福的生活。
但不幸降临了这个家庭，父亲因摔倒而受重伤，这个家庭的突然没了收入来源。为维持着整个家庭的生计，9岁的彩金独自一人承担了所有家务，种菜、打水、捡柴火、做饭，给母亲洗漱，给父亲煮草药。这个可怜的小女孩日夜不停地工作，生活极其艰难。但彭彩金坚强地直面艰辛，也刻苦地学习。她的故事非常鼓舞人心，因而她成为2010年在广州举行的第16届亚运会的火炬手之一，并在同一年成为广东十大新闻人物。电影《孝女彩金》改编自她年轻生活的真实故事。
如今，彭彩金已经成为一名励志的大学生。她的故事深深打动了无数读者。其中一位是导演周勇，他后来根据自己的生活故事拍摄了这部电影。年轻演员冯莹莹也将这个角色刻画得栩栩如生。
这部电影在中国上映后立即引起轰动，成为近十年来票房最高的儿童电影。导演周勇说，它受欢迎的最重要原因是，随着中国生活条件的稳步改善，越来越多的年轻人依赖父母。这部电影还以浓郁的客家风味和如画的乡村风景为特色。电影告诉我们，面对逆境，你需要自力更生，永不放弃。
CAIJIN
A PICTURESQUE AND TOUCHING STORY
In life, sometimes it is not unusual to be affected by nature, when earthquakes, tsunamis or typhoons strike. One should do as Caijin did -- stand up against hardships head-on.
Peng Caijin, the prototype in the movie, was born in a remote mountain village in Meizhou, Guangdong province. Soon she was adopted against all odds by a middle-aged farming couple who lived in poor conditions themselves — her step-mother being crippled and her step-father made barely enough money by farming. The family of three lived a simple yet happy life together. But misfortunes hit the family. The father was seriously injured from a fall. The source of income for the family was cut abruptly. Ten-year old Caijin sustained the whole family by doing all the household chores alone-growing vegetables, fetching water, picking up firewoods and cooking, as well as cleansing her mother and boiling herbal medicines for her father. She worked continuously day and night. Life was extremely hard on the poor little girl. But Cainjin stood up to embrace the hardships and also studied very hard. Her story was so inspirational that she became one of the torch bearers for the 16th Asian Games held in Guangzhou in 2010, and Top 10 Newsmakers in Guangdong for the same year. The film Caijin was adapted from true stories of her young life.
Now, Peng Caijin has become an inspirational college student. Her story deeply touched countless readers. One of them was director Zhou Yong who later shot the film based on her life story. And young actor Feng Yingying also gave a lifelike portraying of the character.
The film caused an instant sensation when it was released in China and became the most watched children"s film in the last decade. Director Zhou Yong noted that the most important reason for its popularity is that with living conditions steadily improved in China, an increasing number of young people are becoming more and more dependent on their parents. The movie also features a strong Hakka flavor with picturesque rural landscape.
The film tells us that facing with adverse circumstances, you need to be self-reliant and never give up.
