这三个单词都可以做名词，表达拒绝，意思大体相同，但是细微处还是有不同。很多同学分不清楚，今天我们来挖一挖它们的异同点。
decline 辞谢，谢绝（邀请等），谢绝，婉拒。
例1、We managed to decline his invitation to a house party.我们设法婉拒了他参加家庭聚会的邀请。
例2、The spokesman declined to comment on the event.发言人拒绝对此事发表评论。
可以看出，decline能够表达拒绝的意思，而且是非常婉转、礼貌的拒绝。
refuse拒绝，回绝，推却。
例3、Tom doesn’t know how to refuse requests form others.汤姆不懂如何去拒绝他人的要求。
例4、They refuse to do anything about the real cause of crime: poverty.他们拒绝对犯罪的真正原因：贫穷做任何事情。
例5、They had made us an offer too good to refuse.他们给我们开出的条件太好了，好的我们都无法拒绝。
例6、The teacher asked students to finish the papers the next day and students can’t refuse.老师要求学生第二天完成讲义，学生们是不能拒绝的。
可以看出，refuse是生活中正常表达拒绝的常用方法。表示一个人不愿意接受别人的要求，建议等等。
reject拒绝，抛弃，扔掉，排斥
例7、The headermaster rejected all the suggestions from the students. 校长拒绝了学生们提出的所有建议。
例8、Tom was rejected by all the universities he applied to.汤姆被他申请的所有大学拒绝了。
可以看出，reject表达的是比较严厉的拒绝，因质量差拒绝，正规、官方、正式的拒绝。
