金三角名校Golden Triangle (UK universities)
目录 |
金三角名校是指英国东南部的三间名校,即牛津大学、剑桥大学和伦敦大学。三个学校在英国的学术研究经费中占了很大比例,因此取名为“金”。
The University of Cambridge in the city of Cambridge and the University of Oxford in the city of Oxford form two corners of the triangle. The third geographic point is the city of London, represented by Imperial College London and three colleges of the University of London: University College London, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and King's College London. (Imperial College London, previously a college of the federal University of London, gained independence from the university on 8 July 2007.)
A published reference supporting this structure of the Golden Triangle
Imperial College, King’s College, the LSE and UCL are all in the small group of leading universities in the UK and with Cambridge and Oxford are sometimes referred to as “the Golden Triangle".
